Membership fees due
CES membership runs over the financial
year. You do not need to be a member to receive our
e-bulletins but if you would like to support us through your
membership, the cost is just $15 single ($10 concession) or $20
joint/family ($15 ). If you have joined or renewed since
April, then you are already covered for the next 12
months. Membership forms and details for payment can
be found on our website. Click on www.ces.org.au then the About Us menu at the
top of the home page. A side menu then allows you to go to
either the membership form or membership renewal form.
CES Annual Meeting
CES AGM will be held at 6 pm on Monday 10
August 2015 in the Boardroom of the Australian Centre for
Christianity and Culture (ACC&C), which is upstairs in
George Browning House, 15 Blackall St, Barton. This
is the building closest to the ACC&C car park. The
entrance is to the building's rear, off the car park. All members and intending members are
welcome. The formal part of the evening will be followed
by a discussion of next year's theme. Please come along
and add your views. The evening will conclude with

and Peace in Palestine in conjunction with ANU
students for Justice in Palestine and co-sponsored by the ANU
Centre for Arab and Islamic Studies invites you to a
presentation by the Hon Bob Carr on the topic of "Palestine and
Middle East Peace". This event will be held at 5.30 pm
on Tuesday 14 July at the Copland Lecture Theatre,
ANU. Bob Carr's presentation comes just 10 days
before this year's ALP National Conference, which is expected to
consider a resolution on Palestine and Middle East Peace.

22 JULY - The Canberra and Goulburn
Catholic Archdiocese for Women invites members of the
public to a presentation by Archbishop Christopher Prowse on
"Women and Children in the Middle East". Archbishop Prowse
travelled to the Lebanon and the Middle East in December
2014 to personally deliver humanitarian aid to refugees to show
solidarity with displaced Iraqi Christians and offer them moral
and financial support. The goal of the visit was to stand by those
families that have been forced to leave their countries and to
offer them some comfort, especially during the Christmas season.
The presentation will be held at the Rheinberger Centre in
Yarralumla at 7.30 pm on Wednesday 22 July. A $5 donation is
requested to help cover the costs of the venue.
