Just a friendly reminder that this Wednesday evening (19 October ) at 7.30 pm CES, in association with the Australian Catholic Social Justice Commission, will be holding a public forum at the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture.

 

Topic - A Place at the Table – Social Justice in an Ageing Society

 

Presenters

 

·       Kevin Vassarotti will speak on “Aspects of Aging in Society”.

·       Richard Gray will speak on "Challenges in Aged Care."

·       Sr. Colleen Clear RSJ will speak on "Reflections of Pastoral Care in Aging."

Topic:  “Does Beauty Say Adieu?  The Call of Beauty in a Disfigured World”.

 

Our speakers will ask us to consider  "How important is ocean health for the future of mankind?"

Speakers:

Revd Dr Graeme Garrett – Graeme is retired Anglican priest with a long-standing interest in the critical conversation between Christian faith and modern culture, especially in this time of climate change.  He is currently Senior Research Fellow at St Mark's National Theological Centre & Professorial Fellow, School of Theology at Charles Sturt University. 

 

Dr Jan Morgan – For much of her life Jan worked as a pastoral care educator at The Peter McCallum Cancer Institute.  She is deeply concerned by the inadequacy of our response to climate change, both as Christians and as a society.
